When I was working at Walmart earning minimum wage, I barely had time to think about the future—let alone job search or prepare for interviews. Everything changed when a friend offered me a job at Costco, where I earned twice as much for similar work. That opportunity opened my eyes to what a better wage can do for someone's life.
