The best free AI auto apply tools, and what “free” really means

Nearly every AI auto apply tool says it is free. In practice that means three to five applications, an autofill tool that never presses submit, or a trial that renews. We read the pricing page of each one so you do not have to.

Checked October 2026. We make Higher Income, which is on this list; the facts about the others come from their own pricing pages.

Each tool, honestly

1. Higher Income

Free: 10 auto applications, no card.

Submits: Yes, for jobs you pick.

Watch out: You choose each job, so it will not send hundreds overnight. That is deliberate.

2. FastApply

Free: 5 applications, no card.

Submits: Yes.

Watch out: The free allowance is small enough to run out on one afternoon.

3. Simplify

Free: Autofill only, at no cost.

Submits: No, you click submit.

Watch out: An excellent autofill tool, but it is not auto apply: every application still needs you.

4. LoopCV

Free: A small free plan, no card.

Submits: Yes, on its connected job boards.

Watch out: The free plan is limited to one search and a few boards.

5. Adzuna ApplyIQ

Free: Free.

Submits: Yes.

Watch out: Only applies to jobs listed on Adzuna.

6. AIApply

Free: Limited free tier; auto apply is paid.

Submits: Yes, on paid credits.

Watch out: The free tier does not include the auto apply feature itself.

7. Sonara

Free: No: a $2.95 trial.

Submits: Yes.

Watch out: Cancel before the trial ends if you only wanted to try it.

8. LazyApply

Free: No free plan.

Submits: Yes, in volume.

Watch out: Reviews repeatedly mention refund trouble and applications to jobs users did not want.

9. JobCopilot

Free: No free plan.

Submits: Yes.

Watch out: Reviews mention billing after cancelling. Check your statement.

Questions people ask

Is there a completely free AI auto apply tool?

A few tools submit applications on a free plan, but almost all cap it at three to five applications. Higher Income gives 10 free, Adzuna ApplyIQ is free but only applies to Adzuna's own listings, and Simplify's free plan fills forms without submitting them.

Does AI auto apply actually work?

It saves the typing, which is real time. It does not make an application better than the job fit behind it. Sending thousands of applications rarely beats a few hundred well-chosen ones, so the tools worth using let you choose the jobs and see what was sent.

Can LinkedIn ban you for auto applying?

LinkedIn's user agreement prohibits extensions that automate activity on LinkedIn, and accounts can be restricted for it. Prefer tools that apply on the employer's own application page rather than automating LinkedIn itself.

What should I check before paying for an auto apply tool?

Whether it really submits or only fills in, whether you choose the jobs, whether you can see each application afterwards, and how cancellation works. Trials that renew automatically are the most common complaint across every tool on this list.
